I'm Gijs. I like to work with words, images and objects, to think about the self. If we contain multitudes, the self is like a conglomerate, posing as multiple brands:
Supergijs is a self-centered and materialistic artistic researcher. He likes to explore topics like money 
and the design of trust, borrowing methods from trend forecasters, pop artists, designers and philosophers.
G.L.A. de Boer studies philosophy of technology. He wrote his MSc thesis on posthumanist design, looking at the relationship between design and human self-understanding as reciprocal. If technology is so biased and subjective, why does it feel so neutral and objective?
Extra Practice is a working and learning space shared with Jack Bardwell, Benjamin Earl, Kirsten Spruit and Emma Verhoeven. We missed how school fostered our artistic research projects so we try to recreate those circumstances.
